You’ve heard it time and time again. We write to provide you with answers. Plain and simple. Without your questions we’d have nothing to respond to, and a blog that strives to better its writers more than its readers would hardly earn a visit, don’t you think? If a police officer pulled you over and issued a traffic ticket because you drove a kilometer or two over the speed limit – not because you did so recklessly but because he or she had a ticket quota to meet – would it anger you? If you visited your family doctor with a medical concern and he or she diagnosed you incorrectly simply because they wanted to use you as a participant in their research study or cite you in their journal article, would you be satisfied with the result? When we’re on the receiving end of a service – whether that service aims for something great like the protection of society or the offering of reliable medical attention, or merely serves a trivial purpose such as providing vacation planning advice – our priorities should be put first. This helps ensure that we’re not only treated fairly and correctly, but that we stand to benefit from the service in the first place (and to a greater extent than the service provider).
Over the years we have come to learn what travellers want and need to know the most about planning a trip to Costa Rica and executing the perfect travel experience. It doesn’t matter if we are answering travellers’ questions via Costa Rica Travel Blog or helping them design a trip plan via Pura Vida! eh? Incorporated, our aim is the same – to put your priorities first. For this reason, we choose to write what you feel you should read (anything beyond this would be a waste of your time and ours). How do we know what you should be reading? Because travellers ask us the same questions over and over again. We also monitor our website statistics. These conveniently display words and phrases that individuals type into Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other similar search engines to retrieve information about Costa Rica. Search phrases often appear in the form of a question (ie. when is the best time to travel to Costa Rica?) and when the same phrases appear consistently across our statistic reports their prevalence draws pretty obvious conclusions.
To help serve first-time visitors to Costa Rica, below is a list of some of the most popular questions travellers ask about the country. In addition, links to the specific areas of our website where answers to each question can be accessed are also provided.
