Hi again blade3colorado!
Thanks again for your kind comments! You’re 100% right; what a small world we live in! We make a point of getting to know the people behind the hotels, tours, and transportation services we recommend to travelers, and we’re glad you got to know two of them well. 🙂
Pura vida!

Thanks for the comment! What an incredible journey your two-month trip must have been. If you’re talking about Chip and Jennifer at Mono Azul, I 100% agree! Great people doing great things.

So glad to hear that you loved your time in Nosara, Monteverde, and Arenal! Costa Rica would love to have you back someday. I just read your recent post and am glad that your trip to Costa Rica made your accomplishments list for 2012. There’s nothing like the adventure that this country offers to bring about the “change” and “feelings” that you write about.

Thanks for your comment. Correct! The above photo was taken on the Costa Rican side (Sixaola) of the bridge bordering Panama (Guabito) during one of our trips to Bocas Del Toro (Panama). To know the bridge you must know the route well. I just checked out your blog/site – perhaps you visited Sixaola during one of your tours to the Caribbean side of the country?

September 19, 2012 at 2:47 pm in reply to: Best Ziplines in Costa Rica: Comparing 6 in Arenal and Monteverde #196150Nikki SolanoKeymasterHey westlondondesignervid!
Great question! The braking system used by Sky Adventures requires zipliners to reduce their speed by jostling a set of handlebars from side to side. In contrast, the hand-braking system, which is used by the majority of canopy tour operators in Costa Rica, requires zipliners to wear a thick (usually leather) glove during the tour and reduce their speed by applying pressure to the zip-line cable. For more information about these two tours, don’t miss our related blog posts:

Nikki SolanoKeymasterHey Secondhand Surfer!
Thanks for the comment! Excellent line: “don’t waste your time comparing Costa Rica life to life in the U.S. It doesn’t translate”. Pure pura vida.
Saludos desde La Fortuna! 🙂
