GuestHi There!
We love your blog! We are going to Costa Rica in January 2014 and it is the best informational blog we have seen about Costa Rica! Thank you! We have a question regarding ziplining. We are wondering about another ziplining company that is not listed on your blog. Have you heard of Adventure Park and Hotel Vista Golfo de Nicoya ? It is located in Puntarenas. How do you compare it to the ones you have listed on your blog?

KeymasterHi Rakhee Patel!
Thanks so much for your comment and the very kind compliment! We are happy to know that our blog has assisted you in planning your January trip to Costa Rica. About you question: we have heard of Adventure Park (Hotel Vista Golfo) but we haven’t yet tried their tours so we cannot comment on their quality. Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have additional questions or are considering other zip-line tours in Costa Rica and we will do our best to help you however we can.
Pura vida! 🙂

KeymasterHello Kelly!
Sounds good! Costa Rica’s two side-by-side RIU resorts are located on Playa Matapalo in the Guanacaste region, along Costa Rica’s northern Pacific coast. Since you mentioned you’d like to go zip-lining someplace close to the resort, we’d suggest going with either the canopy tour run at the Diamante Eco Adventure Park or the canopy tour operated by Congo Trail Canopy. Both tours take place near the RIU resorts. As for whether the gentleman in your party will be allowed to participate in either tour, it would be best to reach out to the canopy tour providers directly to have them confirm this. Though most canopy tour operators set a maximum weight limit for their zip-line tours, in most cases, the decision over whether an individual can or cannot participate is determined by the individual’s waist dimensions, not their weight. This is because weight can be carried a few different ways on a person’s body, and it’s most important that the tour operator has a harness that can appropriately fit the waist and legs of each tour participant.

GuestWonderful run down!! I spend just a few days in Costa Rica at least 11 years ago and would welcome the chance to visit again. Yours is a valuable resource for specifics when we do!! We did white water rafting and enjoyed it so much. Traveling the canopy would be just wonderful!!

GuestI will definitely keep these things in mind. I want to go back to Costa Rica with my family and know my husband and daughter will want to zipline. This will help decide where.

GuestGlad you decided to follow my blog. I have several posts about Costa Rica as well from a trip I took there two years ago. I had almost no interest in the popular stuff like zip lining, river rafting, etc. Costa Rica is a much easier place than Ethiopia for most Americans. There are similarities–green, mountains, lots of water, volcanoes, and really good looking people.
