We agree 100%! Giving seems to be routed in the “Do unto others…” concept – that there is no receiving without giving, or similar. How selfish some individuals can be when they expect others to “do for them” without an appreciation for the need to “do for others”. So glad to hear that you live your life by example, putting kindness out there. We wish the best for you, and that all the kindness you have shown to others will (as you note) shine upon you if/when you are ever in need. 🙂

Great question! I know it is possible, however I believe it is the user that needs to undo the option to receive notification emails (unfortunately we can not do this from our end). If I remember correctly, when you receive an email from wordpress (containing a link to the post we have published), there should be a line about managing subscriptions (a link should be provided). I believe if you click on the link it will take you to the section of your wordpress account where you can unsubscribe to notifications. If this doesn’t work, you may be able to “un-check” the checkbox on the post page (http://costaricatravelblog.com/2013/04/06/our-best-recommendation-for-an-alajuela-sjo-airport-hotel-for-your-first-or-last-night-in-costa-rica/) if one is provided – this may work too! 🙂
