Hello 🙂 first time traveling to Costa Rica in May! SO EXCITED. My best friend and I want to go all out and stay at The Springs Resort, but we can’t really afford. I saw that you guys had a 2019 25% coupon discount for the resort, I was wondering if you would be able to provide one for 2020?? Thank you so much for your time! Your website is great!!
Hey Aspen!
Congrats about choosing CR as your upcoming trip destination! You’re going to love it! 😉
About our 25% discount, I can certainly pass along the link! However, to confirm, our hotel discount is for the Arenal Springs Resort, not the Springs Resort & Spa. I’m not sure which of the two resorts you plan to visit (both are located in the La Fortuna/Arenal vicinity), but if it’s the Arenal Springs Resort, you’re all set! 🙂 Here’s the link to where we offer free discount codes for hotels (including the Arenal Springs Resort), shuttle services, and car rentals: https://costaricatravelblog.com/free-costa-rica-discount-codes/
To help you distinguish between the two resorts, these are the websites for each:
Arenal Springs Resort: https://www.thespringscostarica.com/
Springs Resort & Spa: https://hotelarenalspring.com/
If it’s the Springs Resort & Spa that you were hoping to stay at and you determine that the hotel’s price tag is too high for your budget, don’t miss the free discounts we offer for day passes to the resort, including our discount for the Springs Resort Hot Springs Pass and our discount for the Club Rio Multi-Adventure Package (Club Rio is the Springs Resort’s on-site activity center).
Our discount for the Springs Resort Hot Springs Pass (includes lunch or dinner, plus a free second day of hot springs use!): https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/springs-resort-hot-springs-pass-with-meal-plus-extra-free-day-adult-from-la-fortuna-operated-by-springs-resort/
Our discount for the Club Rio Multi-Adventure Package (includes lunch, two adventure tours/activities of your choice, and two full days of hot springs use!): https://puravidaeh.ca/discounts/club-rio-outdoor-center-multi-adventure-package-adult-from-la-fortuna-operated-by-springs-resort/
Pura vida! 🙂
Hey I just wanted to let you know your 5 question quiz about choosing Arenal or Monteverde doesn’t seem to be working – tried 3 times and it doesn’t present the answer.
Melissa Mitchell –
Thank you so much for your comment about the quiz. That’s so strange! The quiz was working fine on its own page (https://costaricatravelblog.com/should-you-visit-la-fortuna-arenal-or-monteverde-quiz/) but suddenly stopped working on the article page (https://costaricatravelblog.com/la-fortuna-arenal-or-monteverde/). I’ve rebooted our system and it appears to have fixed the problem on our end. Thank you so much, again, for letting us know!
Pura vida! 🙂
Hi! My friend and I will be travelling there on November 4th, 2017. We have been hearing there has been a lot of damage from the tropical storm. We are wondering if we will be needing to change any of our plans, if we should still come, etc. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙂

LOVE YOUR BLOG!
We are all trying to settle on which white water rafting trip to take. Some don’t mind class 3 and 4, and none of us really want a class 5. Some would probably feel comfortable with just a 3.
My husband and I went on the Pacuare River several years ago in February. It was considered a class 4. We experienced a somewhat calm river a lot of the time, (so plenty of time to prepare for the exciting times), but of course it was a class 4 at times. We had the best time every!
I’m trying to choose the best tour for a larger group (we are arriving in a few weeks), and I want my adult children to have a similar experience as we had on the Parcuare, but we will be coming from Manuel Antonio. I have watched UTube videos and read blogs. I am still confused.
The Savegre river is recommended as a class 2 and 3. After reading some blogs, I am not sure if this river will be as exciting as the Pacuare river. But the Naranjo river (which looks VERY exciting) is recommended as a class 4 and 5 at times. If we avoid the Churro part of the river, can we get a good class 3 and 4 tour on the Naranjo River?
Any suggestions would be so appreciated.
~Sheila
