Very informative…keep advising people to visit Tamarindo and the hotels and hostels will bust wide open. High times for the tourist industry…and it gives the beach vendors someone besides me to whistle those little wooden birds for. Please advise all drunks who bust Imperial bottles on the beach to go to Jaco – we’d all appreciate it. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!! Pura vida –

Hey coyotero!
Your comment put a smirk on my face. Some people just don’t know to respect the places wherein they travel or live. Wouldn’t the world be a different place if pura vida was embodied by everyone? Looking forward to reading about your experiences in Costa Rica and Tamarindo in particular.
Pura vida! 🙂

I visited Costa Rica in 2007, and plan on returning one of these days. Your blog is a fantastic resource, and I will definitely be consulting it before I take my next trip!

Wish I would have found your blog before I went on my trip, but definitely want to return to CR! I sent the link to a friend who is leaving for CR on Monday. I am reading so much now that I am back in Canada. Costa Rica is such a special place with great people and I am concerned that it may attract too many developers who want to take advantage of the beauty. We were in the Coco area. I hope that a perfect blend can be found of visitors who travel lightly on the land and don’t demand too much…

Hey b allan!
We hope for and wish the same. The Coco area is nice but it’s also home to many foreigner-owned properties. Fortunately, there remain less developed areas of the country where Costa Rica’s natural beauty shines and the nation’s rich culture isn’t overshadowed. Thank you for offering to recommend our blog/company to your friends. Please wish them a wonderful trip for us!
Pura vida! 🙂

Costa Rica looks like a very interesting country. Too bad, it’s too far away from my country (Indonesia). I will look into your blog once I got the chance to visit Costa Rica!
